The W9RES UHF Repeater is located atop Holy Family Memorial Hospital, located at 2300 Western Ave, Manitowoc, WI 54220. The repeater equipment is located in the penthouse on the roof of the hospital. The original repeater is a Motorola, however, a few years ago the club acquired a Yaesu DR-2X C4FM/Wires-X Digital repeater from an anonymous donor. Since that time, we've enjoyed using this repeater for analog, digital (C4FM) and Wires-X communications. The decision was made to keep the automatic mode select set to analog and digital modes in order to utilize the excellent location the antenna and repeater occupy in the city. We are fortunate to have a dedicated internet connection that provides access to the Wires-X system managed by Yaesu. Currently there are no scheduled nets active on the repeater. This website has instructions for utilizing the repeater and the special functions the DR-2X is capable of providing to amateur radio operators in Manitowoc County.
