W9DK Repeater

The W9DK repeater is located at the Manitowoc Public Works site,   2655 S 35th St, Manitowoc, WI 54220.  The repeater equipment is located in a small utility building located at the base of the tower.  This repeater has been in use for a long time.  There are some conflicting dates and reports, but suffice to say it has been around for decades.  The repeater is operational, and serves Manitowoc County as one of the primary ARES/RACES communication tools.  The Lakeshore Amateur Radio Service Club, Inc acquired the repeater and all associated equipment in a generous donation from the Manitowoc Radio Club.  Although there isn't a lot of traffic on the repeater, you will find a "2 meter Net" every Sunday morning at 10am, managed by Bob KC9HBA.  Please feel free to check in to his informal and very friendly net on Sunday mornings.
